Andrew Egizio

Jazz Trumpeter

Andrew Egizio is a freelance trumpet player located in the Chicagoland Area. His expertise is in the area of jazz and similar genres.

His beginning years started in the West Suburbs of Chicago. He quickly became a fixture in Saint Charles's jazz scene, when a group that he co-founded, started playing at many restaurants throughout the area. Egizio graduated from DePaul University in Chicago, Summa Cum Laude, in June 2020, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Music in Jazz Studies, with a minor in Finance. At DePaul, Egizio performed with the DePaul Jazz Workshop under the direction of Dana Hall.

In Spring 2022, Andrew was selected as a Luminarts Fellow in Jazz Improvisation. The Luminarts Cultural Foundation provides grants, mentorship, and performance opportunities to emerging young artists in Chicago’s art community,

Performance highlights of his include playing at some of Chicago’s most renowned venues, including Andy’s Jazz Club, the Jazz Showcase, Winter’s Jazz Club, the Green Mill, and the Symphony Center.

These days, Andrew can be heard playing with numerous big bands/jazz groups/wedding bands around the Chicago area.
